This Intimate church wedding in kent with a home reception was Richard & Kathleen’s special day. With the church ceremony held at the beautiful St Anthony’s Church in Alkham.
The ceremony which had a number of special readings, and a poignant message was so well delivered and meant a lot to the couple. With some emotional vows and ring exchange Kathleen & Richard were married. After the beautiful ceremony we headed into a nearby field to make the most of the long wheat and time we had before the evening reception.
The Sky played its part and provided a moody backdrop to the occasion. Using seasonal features always adds a unique aspect to a wedding film. Golden wheat fields behind the beautiful church where they married provided a wonderful backdrop for the couple portraits.
The grounds of the church also provided a beautiful green backdrop for some of the intimate couple portraits. It was great to work alongside Tom providing the photography. With Richards suit from slaters – @slatermenswear Kathleen’s beautiful dress was from the bridal shop bridal boutique of Jules.
Couple portraits are one of my favourite parts of the day and the connection between these two was clearly evident. Having to postpone their wedding during the pandemic you could see the day and occasion meant so much to them both and their fiends and family.
A wonderful home wedding reception with some excellent food and emotive but also very funny speeches brought the end to the formal celebrations. All that was left was to cut the cake and to then dance the night away. You can really feel the love that goes into a home wedding and I felt so welcomed by all of their friends and family.
What a wonderful time I had with these two at their wedding and what a special day it was.
