This intimate home wedding with fireworks was Charlotte & Sam’s special day; held at home surrounded by loved ones. With a beautiful woodland on site this provided the perfect backdrop for their ceremony. We were blessed with good warm and dry weather which made a big difference to a day with most of it planned outside. As their home sits on the grounds of a working spa and farm the grounds are naturally beautiful with manicured lawns and a tranquil environment. I even had the opportunity to meet some of the local Sheep as the groom (sam) took the time on his wedding morning to show me around and introduced me to Charlotte favourite sheep.
Bridal prep and groom prep took place in two separate homes on site and with large windows and lots of natural light this was a great time to capture the excitement beforehand. Charlotte then changed into her dress before she had a first look with her dad.
Guests arrived and were shown to the woodland ceremony location which was beautiful decorated with flowers and an arch at its centre. Charlotte arrived in a beautiful classic wedding car. Charlotte and Sam had a traditional ceremony conducted by a relative and once vows were exchanged we headed our for group photos.
Myself and the photographer then spent some time with the just the couple giving them a well earned break and some time alone. Making the most of the beautiful grounds we spent some time back in the ceremony location and wandered up towards the sheep field. The grounds feature a large pond and water feature which added to the tranquil setting of the day.
After a drink’s reception and then wedding breakfast, the speeches went down well with the crowd and raised excitement for the evening entertainment. The fireworks display at the end of the night capped off an amazing day with yet again some wonderful couple moments captured with the fireworks in the background.
